"Mine name is Olga Tretyakova. I live in Lachute. I joined the classes, both drawing and painting, in October 2020."
"I was born and grew up in Novossibirsk, Russia. I studied and lived in Moscow for most part of my life and moved to Quebec in 2005. I always liked drawing and did it all my life, mostly without guidance. I did a little of aquarel as well. As for painting, I did not have the courage to start on my own. Carol's classes were a real finding. I enjoy both classes: the subjects, the instructions and comments, the encouragement we receive from Carol, her ensuthuasm and faith in us."
"I have membership in Fine Arts museum of Montreal. Now, that I started painting myself, I look differently on the works of masters. I see the brush strokes, shadowing and highlights in a different way. The comments made by Carol, such as "very suggestive" presentation, lack of details in faraway objects or shadowed parts of the painting, an illusion of a certain object, come to mind when I look at paintings of others or work on my own."
